Napoleon Hill said, "
There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it."
Do you have that definiteness of purpose and the burning desire? I would argue most of us suffer from dream-a-thopia. We think we have a goal, but it is really just a dream, a wish, and one which we cannot really see ourselves achieving.
Most work from home schemes are centered on playing to that dream. As your subconscious interprets the headlines of these biz op ads, what clicks in your emotions is... "wow they're going to build my network for me, or only 3 hours of effort a week and I'll make $2000 a month, or I'll be driving my new Mercedes by the end of the month." The emotional impact is all tied to the "free money" style of offer. Why do most business start-ups fail, there are all the rational reasons, insufficient financing, lack of business skills, bad choices in location and offerings, and the list goes on and on...
But really most failures can be laid at the feet of an irrational decision made on the back of an irresistible offer.
